The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has been raising funds from alumni since January 2017. The office of Dean (AAIP) has kindly facilitated this process. The DFB approved expenditure from these funds in its meeting dated 03.01.2018.
As part of this fundraising effort, named doctoral grants have been instituted. The total amount of these fellowships is Rs 4 Lakhs and these are to be given over and above any emoluments given by the institute (institute fellowship, contingency, travel grant and any other that may be instituted in the future).
The DRC of Computer Science & Engg. approved the following break-up of the grant amount in its meeting held on 11.04.2018 Top-up @ Rs 10,000 p.m. for 12 months, Contingency of Rs 30,000 and Travel expenses of Rs 2,50,000.
